Local-first mobile scanning and Web organization

FreeScanner

FreeScanner is a document scanner built around a simple division of work: capture paper quickly on a phone, then use a larger screen when a finished document needs careful organization. The mobile app scans or imports pages, corrects document edges, supports page editing, creates searchable PDFs, and keeps the core workflow available without an account. Optional sign-in connects eligible completed documents to a private Web workspace for browser-based organization.

Who it is for

Designed around a focused job

FreeScanner is designed for people managing receipts, forms, notes, contracts, study material, travel documents, signed pages, and other everyday paperwork. It fits users who need a scanner to remain useful with an unreliable connection, but still want the option to find and finish documents from another device. The product keeps capture, editing, search, PDF creation, optional sync, and Web organization inside one understandable document workflow.

Core capabilities

What FreeScanner helps users do

Scan and edit locally

Capture multiple pages or import photos and existing PDFs. Correct edges, enhance or rotate pages, change their order, remove unwanted pages, and create the final PDF on the phone. The main scanner and editing workflow works without requiring an account.

Find the page you need

Organize completed files in a clear document library and search by document name or recognized text. When recognized text contains a match, FreeScanner can take the user to the relevant page instead of leaving them to inspect a long PDF manually.

Continue in a private Web workspace

Users who choose to sign in can sync eligible completed documents in the background. The companion Web workspace provides more room to rename files, inspect document details, drag pages into a new order, download the finished PDF, or delete documents.

Workflow

From input to useful result

  1. Capture

Scan paper with the phone camera or import existing images and PDFs while the source material is available.

  2. Finish the pages

Crop, rotate, enhance, reorder, merge, search, and save the document as the PDF required for the task.

  3. Continue where it is useful

Keep the document on the device, or sign in for optional private sync and continue organizing eligible documents in the Web workspace.

Use cases

Where FreeScanner fits

  • Scan receipts and forms into clean multipage PDFs
  • Search recognized text and open the matching PDF page
  • Combine, compress, or protect copies of document files
  • Organize eligible synced documents from a larger browser screen
